Percocet

Percocet, also known as Oxydodone, like Endocet, is a combination drug that includes oxycodone, a powerful opioid, and acetaminophen a pain reliever that heightens the effects of oxycodone.  It is used to relieve moderate to severe pain and is administered medically in tablet form taken orally, injected or snorted.

Patients abusing Percocet should never cease taking the medication without being medically monitored as patients can be thrust into acute withdrawal symptoms. It is important that the physical withdrawal symptoms along with the psychological withdrawal symptoms be closely monitored as psychosis can occur during withdrawal.
